Energy management is indispensable for the optimal use of resources. Particularly in energy-intensive industries, such as glass and cement production, efficient energy management can save valuable resources and thus directly increase the sustainability of production. At the IKW, processes of the energy-intensive industry are examined in order to provide companies with support in energy management according to DIN 50001. Savings potentials are examined, more efficient production processes are determined and waste heat utilization is focused on.
